LUND Rug Gallery specialists in Modern, Handwoven Rugs is looking for a dynamic store and operations manager for it’s Johannesburg store.

A honest, "do-it-now" personality where the extra mile is never a hassle and "over-delivery" is second nature.

A passion for interior design and creating beautiful spaces is a must. Challenged by commission loaded targets with great communication and networking skills.

Experience and training in the interior design industry and experience in the retail environment is a big bonus.

The role requires a multi-faceted skill-set with strong problem solving, organisational and adaptability skills:
  • Sales: Skilled in the art of closing a deal to high net worth individuals with confident interior design and product knowledge.
  • Project Management: Able to run a project to completion from sales, advice, presentation, installation, supplier management including any local or international logistics and billings.
  • Store Management: Hands-on running of a small team of sales assistants on the floor, overseeing deliveries and installations. Needs some muscle at times.
  • Administration: OCD type attention-to-detail with administrative functions including stock, sales, contact, production and billing reports (Sage). (will train up where necessary).
  • Marketing: Able to simplistically maintain social media platforms together with rudimentary website stock updates. (will train up where necessary)
  • Education Level: Matric
  • Travel Requirement: Must have Drivers Licence
  • Type: Permanent position
 
 
Remuneration with additional tiered commission incentive to be discussed.
