The purpose of the Sales Rep is to generate new business leads and sales prospects and drive sales. As a Sales Rep you will represent the Belgotex brand and values in all aspects of the sales cycle both publicly and internally, especially in developing and maintaining customer relationships and satisfaction.

You will actively seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, CRM and social media. Your tenacity and persistence is professional and your technical expertise and background allows you to identify customer needs and opportunities as well as maintain customer relationships.
Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales and develop new and existing business
  • Achieve sales budgets/targets
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Effectively leverage the CRM system to evaluate customer needs; and the sales engagement process with the Regional Sales Manager and marketing
  • Setup meetings with potential clients
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Belgotex and product
  • Monitor customer sales lifecycles
  • Assess, listen and gather customer requirements and needs to recommend product options
  • Drive sales conversions and track sales effectiveness
  • Negotiate and close sales prospects
  • Sales data analysis; interpretation and feedback
  • Report monthly on sales results
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships for maintenance or new sales
  • Key account management (KAM)
  • Conduct market and competitor research
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve better results
  • Active participation and attendance at industry events and networking
  • Coordinate the logistics and planning of customer Factory Tours
  • Maintain branch/showroom standards and visual displays
  • Recording of product specifications
  • Effective supplier and network management
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a sales rep/account executive role preferably in the manufacturing textile/flooring/artificial turf industry would be preferable
  • At least 2-5 years sales experience
  • A proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets/budgets
  • Retail & Specifying experience is essential
  • Strong relationship development and management skills
  • Energetic, tenacious and self-motivated
  • An uncanny ability to generate client prospects and identify new opportunities
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and conversion skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (with the ability to converse at all levels in a language that is understood)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply sales-based data-driven decisions
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Valid Driver’s License is essential
  • Travel is required in this position:
    o 80% - Local travel in the region
    o 10-20% - National

Qualifications:
  • Grade 12/Matric
  • A relevant diploma/Bachelors/Honours degree in Commerce or Marketing or Architecture or Arts; or 5+ years relevant sales experience in a similar role
