We are looking for a Sales Manager in KwaZulu Natal and Sales Representatives in Johannesburg and KwaZulu Natal.
 


The purpose of the Sales Manager is to take full accountability for reaching sales targets and managing sales for a region. You will ensure that your region meets and exceeds the expectations of our business objectives and contributes to our company’s success in the long run.

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record in creating regional sales plans, managing sales reps, overseeing the marketplace, providing insight into competitors and acting as a brand ambassador of Belgotex. Reporting into the Senior Sales Managers.

Responsibilities:
  • Achieve sales and growth through effective successful management of the sales team
  • Create regional sales plans in line with sales strategy and budget
  • Lead and manage the regional sales reps; evaluating branch and individual performances
  • Manage external sales partners
  • Develop prospective and current client relationships through effective CRM implementation; factory tours and the sales engagement process
  • Forecast quarterly and annual profits
  • Reporting monthly on regional sales results
  • Sales data analysis; interpretation and developing action plans
  • Conducting market research on market/products trends to generate new leads, opportunities and prospective clients
  • Prepare and review the annual budget for the region
  • Provide regional input into the organisational sales strategy
  • Key account management (KAM)
  • Maintain branch/showroom standards and visual displays
  • Oversee the availability of merchandise samples and launch ranges
  • Attending national sales conference and quarterly management meetings
  • People and talent management in the region
  • Identify hiring needs, select and train new sales reps
  • Drive user adoption, training and effectiveness of the CRM system
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a sales management role preferably in the manufacturing textile/flooring industry would be preferable
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in sales management
  • At least 5-10 years sales experience
  • Retail & Specifying experience is essential
  • Strong business acumen
  • A strong people person and manager. Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • A proven track record in meeting and exceed sales targets/budgets
  • Ability to measure and analyse KPIs
  • An uncanny ability to generate client prospects and identify new opportunities
  • Excellent client relationship management skills and ability
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (with the ability to converse at all levels in a language that is understood)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply sales-based data-driven decisions
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Valid Driver’s License is essential
  • Travel is required in this position: 80% - local travel in the region - 10-20% - national

The purpose of the Sales Representative is to generate new business leads and sales prospects and drive sales. As a Sales Rep you will represent the Belgotex brand and values in all aspects of the sales cycle both publicly and internally, especially in developing and maintaining customer relationships and satisfaction.

You will actively seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, CRM and social media. Your tenacity and persistence is professional and your technical expertise and background allows you to identify customer needs and opportunities as well as maintain customer relationships. Reporting into the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales and develop new and existing business
  • Achieve sales budgets/targets
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Effectively leverage the CRM system to evaluate customer needs; and the sales engagement process with the Regional Sales Manager and marketing
  • Setup meetings with potential clients
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Belgotex and product
  • Monitor customer sales lifecycles
  • Assess, listen and gather customer requirements and needs to recommend product options
  • Drive sales conversions and track sales effectiveness
  • Negotiate and close sales prospects
  • Sales data analysis; interpretation and feedback
  • Report monthly on sales results
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships for maintenance or new sales
  • Key account management (KAM)
  • Conduct market and competitor research
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve better results
  • Active participation and attendance at industry events and networking
  • Coordinate the logistics and planning of customer Factory Tours
  • Maintain branch/showroom standards and visual displays
  • Recording of product specifications
  • Effective supplier and network management
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a sales rep/account executive role preferably in the manufacturing textile/flooring/artificial turf industry would be preferable
  • At least 2-5 years sales experience
  • A proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets/budgets
  • Retail & Specifying experience is essential
  • Strong relationship development and management skills
  • Energetic, tenacious and self-motivated
  • An uncanny ability to generate client prospects and identify new opportunities
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and conversion skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (with the ability to converse at all levels in a language that is understood)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply sales-based data-driven decisions
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
