A-Z Design Boutique an established Interior Design and Architectural Specialist company in Sandton is looking for an a highly motivated and efficient Interior Designer. We facilitate a local turnkey service to our high-end clientele and are looking to expand out services in the upmarket residential sector.

As one of our Interior Designers you will creatively work on Upmarket Projects and with high-end Clientele, providing a Luxury Design Service for Architecturally Designed Homes. Your excellent liaison skills afford you the integration of working with the clientele, and alongside our highly skilled design team, providing ongoing Professional Architectural Specifications and Interior Design Services. Your well-honed Design Knowledge and Industry Expertise, coupled with your Excellent Communications will see you provide services to the Projects Developmental Stages, onto Product Selections and Budgeting, Project Management, and completing the contract with Site Installation and Handover. Attention to Detail teamed with Excellent Organization and Administration Skills are a prerequisite to support your employ with this leading Interior Design and Architectural Services Company. Qualifications, Experience, Communications Skills and Attitude will determine your remuneration.

Requirements
  • Mature, well presented and fashionable
  • Highly motivated and energetic person, trustworthy team player, reliable and dedicated to the company's integrity
  • Time conscientious and self manager, solutions orientated decision maker and a passion for a designer lifestyle
  • A valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle
  • Cell phone and current computer
Education
  • Interior Design Diploma or Degree - Graduated with honours
  • A minimum of 8 years in an Interior Design or Architectural Company
  • Employment records with contactable company references
Skills
  • Well presented mature personality
  • Excellent conversational English and familiar with other local greetings
  • Highly developed client liaison and communication skills
  • Add value to and desire to take utmost care of client services
  • Must be interested in and motivated by design in all fields
  • Desire and strive for excellence on all levels
IT and Computer Skills (Must be highly developed)
  • MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • CAD - Computer aided design - Certified
  • Familiar with Social Media platforms
Design Skills
  • Artistic and creative
  • Hand drawn sketches with scaled drawings of furniture and house plans
  • Knowledge and understanding of architectural plans
  • Understand 3D drawings and presentation thereof
  • Liaise with CAD efficient personnel
  • CAD efficiency and capabilities are an advantage
  • Mood and sample board development and presentation
  • Confident, creative and developed project presentation skills
Product Knowledge
  • Must be highly developed and researched
  • Architectural finishing products
  • Built in furniture such as cabinetry and kitchens
  • Bathroom sanitary ware and tiling
  • Luxury interior design and decor products
  • Internal wall and floor finishes, window treatments, furniture, decor, art
  • Understand the creative developmental process of furniture manufacture
  • Current and trend appropriate fabrics and material knowledge
Meeting Skill
  • Must be able to organise and maintain office meetings and schedules
  • Meet with clients and maintain an ongoing working relationship
  • Able to hold and control on-site building meetings with clients, building developers and all contractors
  • Communicate in meeting with all contractors offsite and maintain schedules
 
 
 
Market Related Negotiable Salary – R 20 000.00
